Hyunho Choi, DPM, is a skilled podiatrist who is dedicated to providing expert care and treatment for a variety of foot and ankle ailments. Dr. Choi proudly serves patients at Foot & Ankle Premier Specialist, with locations in Hoboken, Bloomfield, Jersey City, and Ridgefield, New Jersey.
Dr. Choi completed his undergraduate studies at Temple University with a Bachelor of Science in human biology. He attended medical school at Temple University of Podiatric Medicine. He then completed a three-year foot and ankle surgical residency at Hoboken University Medical Center in New Jersey. Dr. Choi served as the chief resident during the last year of his residency, supervising all podiatry residents at the hospital.
He specializes in problems related to the foot and ankle with special interests in sports medicine, foot and ankle trauma, biomechanics, flat foot reconstruction, ankle arthroscopy, complications associated with diabetes, and pediatrics.
Dr. Choi holds surgical certifications from the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA),
comprehensive internal fixation/reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle from the American (AAFAO), and extremity fixation for trauma, limb deformity, and foot and ankle reconstruction surgery (Orthofix).
He is currently a medical staff member at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in Englewood, New Jersey, Hoboken University Medical Center in Hoboken, New Jersey, and at Christ Hospital in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Dr. Choi is an avid artist who loves to paint and sketch. His love for the arts started at a young age and he was part of the school of visual arts in New York City before going to medical school. He enjoys woodworking and building beautiful handcrafted furniture, such as arcade cabinets and wine shelves. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, hiking, and skiing during the winter. Dr. Choi also speaks fluent Korean.
